Midnight Blues

Night time again in the city. Buildings are unveiling their glory under the street lights and time seems nothing but frozen. I am putting my Nike Roshe Winter edition on to go and meet up with Monsieur Bazin. The latter being busy catching second-gen Pokemons outside still.
I have a confession to make : in the past few days, I had not seen the day light much. I would only see it from the inside of my empty open space or the coldness of my bedroom. It is 5:50 in the morning when I leave the confort of my flat. But the night still gives me a bit of a rest: streets are still emptied of life. In the evening, when I leave work, at dusk, people have outnumbered me by far at last. They are rushing home, I am doing the same. To do what ? To go where ? I usually do not even know what there is still to be expected from a day that seemed to have went on for way too long.
And suddenly, I realize. I do not live in the right timezone. Clock is ticking, I am hearing none of it. Bags under my eyes are dug by the blue light of my screens and the darkness of my first-floor living room. During week-ends, it actually worsens. I do not allow myself to even accept the concept of rest. I already wander for too long during the rest of the week. Night or day ? I don’t know. Do I even care ? I, in fact, do not ask myself the question anymore.
Sunday : end of a 28 hours banter. Water tastes like a piece of heaven and sleep has never been more precious. I wake up from a nap : 9:30pm shows on the corner of my phone. Monday : pain, a lot of it.

lol jk just horsin around, i just like taking pics at night xoxo

On a more serious note, tho, Monsieur Bazin is a light wizard. It is always a delight to work with him. A round of applause for the man, would you.
